Zeki Müren's Life
Zeki Müren was born on the sixth of december 1931 and died on the twenty fourth of September 1996 in Izmir.
He started studying in Bursa Primary School and contunied studying in İstanbul High School.
He learnt a lot of things about Turkish Art Music from Izzet Gerçeker in Bursa and contunied learning Turkish Art Music from Mr.Agopos and Mr.Kirkor
He started to work in İstanbul Radio in 1950 and people loved him and his music very much.He worked in İstanbul Radio for 15 years.His costumes and different life style are loved by almost the all people in Turkey
He recorded more than 600 songs his first song was “Bir Muhabbet Kuşu” this song has writen by Şükrü Tunar and Müren won the Golden gramophone record reward with “Manolyam” for first time in Turkey.His Nickname was The Sun of Art.
He wrote more than 200 songs for example “Bir Demet Yasemen,Gözlerinin İçine Başka Hayal Girmesin,Şimdi Uzaklardasın,Hayat Bazen Tatlıdır…
He started to act in 1954.His first film was “Beklenen Şarkı” and after this success,he acted in more than 18 films.And he has a poem book named “Bıldırcın Yağmurları”.
He suffered from heart condition and diabetes and he stopped giving concerts and he died because of heart attack he was burried to Emir Sultan cemetery in Bursa
